Play

Group!

I have been craving community, ease, play, and rest. Life is so overwhelming right now and there is so much heaviness all around us. Adult community play is part of our medicine, and antidote to the mess.

Join us to play, relax, create and learn.

I'm hosting a weekly time to do whatever we want, together, with hopefully just the right amount of neurodiverse conversation and connection.

If you're looking for ambient socialization, this is the place for it. A place to be yourself, do your thing, and have some neurodiverse connection around it.

Come do your own thing in common space, or do a thing together. Talk or not talk. Just be together.

We've been working through Define Your Neurodivergence Workbook together so far and have plans to go through What Did I Do Wrong? next. I'd love to do A Field Guide to Earthlings in the future.

Making a vision board is also on the docket. Crafting welcome. Coloring and fidgets available.

Let’s play together!

Parallel play is one of the Neurodiverse Love Languages! For more neurodiverse love languages check out Define Your Neurodiversity.

Authentic Relating—

Neurodiverse Style!

I love the practice of Authentic Relating, also known as Circling. And I want to bring a neurodiverse version of it to our parallel play group.

I’m working out the details now, but here is a little taste of what will be included:

  • “Learning to stay connected to ourselves while being in relationship with others.”

  • “Slowing down to notice what’s happening inside — and choosing how (or whether) to share it.”

  • “Practicing connection that begins with self-awareness and honors each person’s internal experience.”

  • “Centering choice, voice, and pacing in how we connect with others.”

  • “Practicing presence with what is — not what should be — in ourselves and each other.”

  • “Being in connection while honoring sensory needs, processing differences, and communication styles.”

What would you like to do for parallel play?

Explore our neurodiversity, chat, learn a craft, teach a craft, create, do a vision board, doodle, pick Catherine’s brain, share special interests, write poetry or prose, do morning pages, go through Catherine's library of courses, play games, etc.

Send me a message and let me know what you’d like to do in our group!
